Emberfall Saga
★★★★★ 4.6
Emberfall Saga is a proper role-playing game that respects your time. You build a party of four, explore a hand-drawn world, and slowly untangle a story about a fading kingdom. Combat is turn-based, so you can think between moves instead of mashing buttons in a panic.
The character writing carried me through. Each companion has their own quirks and side quests, and the choices you make actually shift a few conversations later on. Progression feels steady rather than grindy, and the difficulty curve is fair even if you skip the optional fights.
My one warning: don't ignore the equipment screen. Fights get much harder around the halfway point, and a well-planned team beats an over-leveled one every time.
