Defensive layouts that actually hold in Ironhold Command

Ironhold Command is generous at first, then it stops holding your hand. The wave that wiped my third base taught me more than the whole tutorial did. The problem was simple: I built for looks, not for chokepoints.

The trick is to funnel attackers. Instead of ringing your base in an even wall, leave one deliberate path that leads them past your strongest defenses. Enemies pile up there, and you clean them out efficiently.

Resource buildings should sit deep inside, protected by everything else. I kept losing them because they were near the edge, and rebuilding cost me the momentum I needed to expand.

Finally, don't over-expand early. A small, well-defended base beats a sprawling one you can't cover. Grow only when your walls can keep up.
