Why Driftwood Hollow is best played slowly
I almost bounced off Driftwood Hollow because I tried to play it like a checklist. Once I slowed down and actually looked around the village, it turned into one of my favourite mobile games of the year.
Most of the puzzles aren't logic problems; they're observation problems. The answer is usually something you already saw and didn't register. Talking to residents twice often reveals a detail you need later.
There's no penalty for taking your time, so take it. Explore at night when the lighting shifts, revisit places after you've restored them, and let the story breathe. That's the whole point of it.
If you go in expecting a challenge, you'll be disappointed. Go in expecting to unwind, and it delivers beautifully.
